Firearms Safety and Marksmanship

Aegis offers classes in firearms safety and marksmanship taught by a National Rifle Association certified instructor. Students in this program are taught to be safe, responsible firearm owners and shooters whether their goals are sport and enjoyment, personal protection or both. They will also gain considerable knowledge in the recognition and operation of various styles of firearms. They will be given opportunity to increase their marksmanship skills on an outdoor range with feedback from the instructor.

Participants should provide their own registered (for pistols) firearms and ammunition for use on our outdoor range. They must also provide their own eye and hearing protection, both of which are required to participate. Some loaner equipment may be available with prior arrangement.

Classes are taught by a combination of lecture, discussion and range time.
